Online charter school enrollments

Today I interviewed the first 10 students who live in Fresno County and are interested in attending the online charter school of Clovis Unified.  Based on research and other input, I decided that it is important to interview all students interested in enrolling in the online school.  The next step for the 10 students (and parents) I met today will be to complete some online lessons so they can decide if online learning will work for them.

Overall, this process worked well and I enjoyed chatting with the students and their parents.  I look forward to meeting the next 100 enrollees.  We hope to have 120 9th and 10th graders by August, 2009.

Rob, as a cyber charter school guy, I was wondering what were your thoughts on those recent reports that have been released lately (see ). I know in that entry I purposely presented the issue in a very one-sided way – hoping to raise the ire of some folks to create some discussion on the blog (no one took the bait). But given your background in this particular aspect of K-12 online learning, I was wondering what you thought?

It’s an awesome paragraph in favor of all the web visitors; they will take advantage from it I am sure.

I am curious to find out what blog platform you happen to be using?
I’m having some minor security issues with my latest website and I’d like to find something more safeguarded.
    Do you have any recommendations?

You can definitely see your skills in the work you write.
The arena hopes for more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to say how they believe.

    Always go after your heart.

I seldom leave remarks, however I looked through a
few comments on this page Online charter school enrollments |
California Dreamin’ by Rob Darrow. I actually do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind. Is it just me or does it give the impression like a few of these comments look like they are left by brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are posting on other online social sites, I’d
like to keep up with anything new you have to post.
Would you post a list of all of your social networking sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
