Randy Pausch – The Last Lecture – Listen Again

It did not take long for the world to learn that Randy Pausch died today – all of the websites that reference him, including his lecture on YouTube – mark today as the end of his life.  I never knew Randy, but like so many others, I felt like I did.  He was a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University.  When he gave his “last lecture” on September 18, 2007, I was fascinated at the way he was facing death – courageous and honest.   And, it was posted on You Tube and talked about on various blogs.  And, for awhile I followed his blog and read about how he was doing.  His friend and colleague, Gabe Robins kept track of his friend as well.

My heart and prayers go out to his wife and children.

His message continues to resonate with me:  have fun, enjoy your childhood dreams, love life, and appreciate those closest to you.  Take the time to watch his last lecture now and again, in the future.
