Outstanding information video on YouTube

I couldn’t agree more with Alice Yucht who alerted us to this outstanding new video on YouTube about the evolution of information.  Very creative, very well done.  Michael Wesch, the same guy who put together the  “Web 2.0…the machine is Us/ing us”   created this one, too.  In 5 minutes you go from the typewriter to web 2.0…

As an aside, the new Real Player allows you to download YouTube videos into your Real Player library so you don’t have to be connected to show your favorite videos.

I shared this several days ago with a 7th grade social studies teacher who is exploring the term “revolution” with his classes. They LOVED it. Now we keep bouncing the concept of evolution around. The last one I tossed in was how language is in revolution too i.e. google and podcast are both nouns and verbs.
