SLL2.0 Team Meeting

cslaweb20teamsm.jpg

Members of the CSLA 2.0 Team met f2f for the first time since putting this program together. Here are some of our team members gathered in the AT&T Executive Briefing Center in San Francisco (Front: Connie Williams, CSLA VP of Communications; Jackie Siminutus, Library Advocate from AT&T. Back: Jamie Boston, LMT from Davis Joint Union School District, Rob Darrow, Coordinator of Libraries, Clovis Unified School District.)

Our group learned that at this point in the summer, there are 124 participants in California and another 64 people from outside of California participating. Over the next months, the members of the CSLA 2.0 Team will be presenting the SLL2.0 concept at a variety of workshops. We will have a special awards ceremony at the CSLA conference in November.

There is still time for you to join!

    Rob,
You sure do travel a lot around the state and the net. Glad you could swing by San Francisco. It is always a treat to see you live (f2f) and talk technology. Good thing you remembered to bring your digital camera! I’ll be sure to link to this lovely photo of you, Jamie (the mysterious Irma Pinze), Connie, and myself.

The CSLA 2.0 Team is growing daily, as participants in the School Library Learning 2.0 course finish their 23 THINGS. I’m looking forward to meeting all the CSLA bloggers this November 15-18, 2007 at the annual California Library Association conference in Southern California.

    Enjoy!

Glad to hear there are 64 of us out of state folks who are participating in School Library Learning 2.0. I am amazed each day with what I learn. Thanks for the opportunity.

What I find remarkable is that when you look at the School Library Learning 2.0 cluster map there have been links from all over the world! Such connectivity is absolutely amazing.
When we first thought of building this course, I thought that we’d get maybe 25+ CSLA members and it would be a fun endeavor for a small group of folks to get together virtually to discuss library curriculum. But this has grown so much and is so much fun! Ya gotta love this internet!
I’ve been reading and responding to as many blogs as I can and I’ve discovered that there are so many incredible library folks who are doing great things in their schools – and interesting things in their lives! I hope that others are dropping in on the blogs…and commenting too.And looking at the California Curriculum Wiki, I’ve already gotten two ideas that I’m going to implement right away!
    Connie
