A Web 2.0 Online Course in Ning

Thanks to Stephen Downes’ blog post, I checked out the “Work Literacy” Ning which started today.  “Sponsored by Work Literacy and the eLearning Guild, from September 29 through November 7, 2008, this network will be THE place for you to learn about Web 2.0 and how social media tools can be used by learning professionals. “

The fascinating part of this is that this online course is completely built in Ning.  Very innovative use and way to go to those who created this and are creating this.

The outline of the course is as follows:

Week 3– Blogs–begins October 13, 2008
Week 4–Aggregators and RSS Feeds–begins October 20, 2008

Congratulations Curriki and others

Curriki is a free repository for online content – mostly focused on the K-12 level.  Recently, as brought to our attention by Joyce Valenza, the Tech Museum in San Jose honored Curriki for using ” Internet technology so that educators can share and co-develop free, high-quality instructional materials.”
